Just raising the temperature one or two degrees on the thermostat in a data center can make a difference to a company’s energy bill. But it’s not as easy as it seems. Data centers support Intel’s chip business and precise temperatures are critical for success. Alon Brauner, manager of Intel’s data centers in Israel and India, says the data center can get warmer without sacrificing performance.
