CTIA president Steve Largent interviewed FCC Chairman Kevin Martin on the keynote stage on Day 1 of CTIA Wireless 2006. Martin says that creating a level playing field for all the providers is the key to good regulation. “If you have different kinds of regulations that apply to different kinds of technologies you can actually disadvantage individual providers.” But the most critical mission of the Commission, says Martin, is to allocate more spectrum this summer in the the next auction of frequencies.
