Inside IT: Evaluating Microsoft Windows 8 Security on Intel Architecture Tablets

IT Best Practices: Episode 43 – There’s a revolution going on in workplace computing at Intel. In previous podcasts we’ve talked about the introduction of new, portable platforms, the bring-your-own-device program, and the deployment of Windows 8 throughout the enterprise. The way people use computers at work at the end of 2013 will look quite different from the way they did at the end of 2012. This fast-paced change raises new issues around a key consideration for Intel – security. Roy Ubry is a staff engineer for the Client Platform Engineering team at Intel. He was part of the team tasked with assessing the security of Windows 8 on new Intel architecture-based tablets. In this podcast he talks about Intel IT’s security evaluation of two types of tablets for use in the enterprise.
