Hundreds of people are lined up outside the Sony Metreon in San Francisco, hoping to buy a Sony PS3 gaming console, which will go on sale across the country at midnight. With so many people already in line, even before they’ve used the new machine and before they know how it will compare to competitors like the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, is it possible they’re really more interested in snapping up the scarce machines — only 400,000 will be delivered in the U.S. for now — in order to sell them online? PodTech’s Rio Pesino spoke with several hardcore PS3 fans waiting in line to buy the next-gen console.
