Intel Capital invests in startup companies all over the world (as in the recent Nascentric announcement, this past summer’s announcement with VMware, or relationships with firms like Bulgarian WiMAX company Nexcom) with the goal of improving technology deployment, entrepeneurship, and tech development (and generally “inspiring the entrepreneurial spirit to thrive.“)

Arvind Sodhani, president of Intel Capital, points to global “hot spots” — including what Intel’s Ken Kaplan writes are the five hottest. Intel Capital is working closely in those areas to help new companies find markets around the world.
