MENLO PARK, July 7, 2006 (PodTech News) — Apple today introduced a new $899 configuration of the 17-inch iMac targeted toward educators and students in the digital classroom. Apple is showcasing the 17-inch iMac at the National Educational Computing Conference in San Diego this week. Analysts are saying this move may prove to be a successful bid by Apple to gain market share by playing to one of its strengths, the educational technology market.
