IT Best Practices: Episode 107 – The job of securing the enterprise has changed dramatically in a short period of time. The number of cyberattacks, and the sophistication of the attackers, requires a new approach to security. No one knows this new reality better than Brent Conran, Chief Information Security Officer at Intel. In this podcast Conran outlines his approach to dealing with the ever-changing threat landscape. He says it means continuing to invest in traditional security measures, but also thinking differently about how to deal with attacks. In particular, he says it’s important to focus on advanced persistent threats – the most critical one percent of attacks that require a fundamentally different approach.
