IT Best Practices: Intel IT, in collaboration with Intel Labs, is evaluating a new storage technology called Differentiated Storage Services (DSS). When combined with Intel Solid-State Drives, used as disk caches, we found that DSS can improve the performance and cost effectiveness of disk caching.
