In this podcast, Marc Jourlait, Seagate‘s VP of Global Marketing, talks with PodTech’s Michael Johnson about hybrid hard drives, a combination of Flash and hard drives with new features like faster startup time, increased battery life for laptops, and more. Jourlait says that currently, Windows Vista is the only OS able to take advantage of the hybrid drive’s special capabilities, through Vista’s ReadyDrive technology. Seagate’s current Hybrid Drive offering is the Momentus 5400 PSD. This is a Seagate podcast.
