CONCEPT: Firebird I, II, III

After WWII, Americans were intent on looking to the future to see what was possible, rather than looking back at the horrors of the war. Auto manufacturers were doing the same. Thus, the Firebird concept cars were built to show what was might be possible in cars of the future. Greg Wallace, manager of GM’s Heritage Center in Sterling Heights, Mich., introduces us to these jet aircraft-inspired vehicles.
