Charles Ferland, Vice President & GM Telco for Lenovo joins Intel Chip Chat Network Insights in this archive of a livecast interview from the Intel Network Builders Summit in conjunction with SDN & NFV World Congress in The Hague, Netherlands.

Charles explains how Lenovo views open networking and interoperability as critical components of IT infrastructure today and into the future. Hear about his involvement with the Linux Foundation and the virtual central office (VCO) and the fully operational 5G environments for communication service providers to test applications, VNFs and the interoperability.

In this interview, Charles highlights recent collaborations with Intel, including a joint innovation program with Lenovo and Orange which integrates the Intel Rack Scale Design components to measure if the performance versus power consumption ratio, as well as the new Intel® Select Solutions for NFVI Forwarding Platform, and the optimization of the Intel® Select Solution for NFVI optimized for 2nd generation Xeon Scalable processors.
