It doesn’t park itself, it’s park assist. That was the message from Bob Allen, dealer education manager for Lexus. I spoke with him recently about the new Advanced Parking Guidance System, or APGS, available on the 2007 LS460. For those who are parallel parking “challenged,” the feature is certain to help you park better and reduce your anxiety. For the rest of us tired of the dents and dings in our car’s bumpers, side panels and doors, it should be a welcome relief. But it won’t be cheap. The APGS requires Intuitive Parking Assist and is only available on the LS, which starts at $60k.

For more on the system, read the story and the blog at: blogs.cars.com.
