In this Intel Chip Chat audio podcast with Allyson Klein: In this livecast from the OpenStack Summit in Austin Texas, Alex Polvi CEO of CoreOS stops by to talk about the idea of Google’s Infrastructure For Everyone Else (GIFEE) which is a style of infrastructure management that has been proven by the hyperscale giants like Google to provide a very reliable, scalable, and efficient infrastructure. He highlights the collaboration between Intel and CoreOS to deploy and manage OpenStack with Kubernetes in this same GIFEE management style to help drive the creation of many more enterprise clouds. Alex outlines how this collaboration enables organizations to re-platform and move their workloads to the cloud through the use of containerization and achieve similar reliability, scalability, and efficiency as a Google or Amazon based cloud.
