LAS VEGAS, NV, May 2, 2006 (PodTech News) — The CEO of Cisco Systems, John Chambers, says the transportation industry would significantly benefit from his company’s concept of unified collaboration. He welcomed a Cisco executive to the stage who showed several examples of how networks deliver a variety of real time services such as the re-routing of trains. “What this system is doing now is it’s actually clearing that segment of track,” said Jim Grubb while conducting the demonstration. “One application effectively doubles the utilization of the rail system.”
