Research@Intel Day 2010 – Advanced Energy Innovations
June 30th, 2010 |

For researchers at Intel, energy conservation can mean finding ways to exploit even small opportunities to harvest or save energy. In these research projects scientists are examining ways that a home energy system can make a building intelligent: detecting electrical loads, such as a toaster, when turned on and off and adjusting usage. And researchers demonstrate the use of sensors on the body to help the wearers of heart rate monitors maintain valuable data by providing uninterrupted power from on-body solar energy harvesting located on shoes or hats.
