Intel IT’s Data Center Strategy – Compute

Accelerating server refresh, virtualizing our server resources, and utilizing data center virtualization have significantly reduced Intel IT’s overall energy consumption levels and compute costs. These efforts alone have driven us to realize 35% of our data center efficiency goal of USD $650 million to date. In 2010, we are accelerating our virtualiztion efforts in our office and enterprise environments with a goal of being 70-80% virtualized in the next 2 year.
