MENLO PARK, CA , July 14, 2006 (PodTech News) — Reuters reported yesterday that U.S. digital entertainment company Gracenote said it obtained licenses to distribute song lyrics on the Web. PodTech News called Gracenote’s Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, Jim Hollingsworth, for more details about the deal.

In other news today, the world’s biggest chip-maker, Intel Corporation said Thursday it’s laying off 1000 managers worldwide. Catherine Girardeau reports.
