At the ARM Developers conference in Santa Clara, California, PodTech’s Michael Johnson caught up with Marc Gayer, a researcher in Real Time Multimedia Systems at Fraunhofer IIS, the German company that invented the MP3. He explains the next evolution of MP3 audio: Surround, Binaural, and Multichannel for hand held devices.
