Google CEO Schmidt Joins Apple Board
MENLO PARK, August 29, 2006 (PodTech News) â€” Apple announced this afternoon that Eric Schmidt, chief executive officer of Google, was elected to Apple’s board of directors. In a statement, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that Schmidt was tapped in part because of Google’s focus on innovation, a quality that he says Apple shares. PodTech’s Catherine Girardeau reports.
