In Patrick Gelsinger’s keynote Wednesday at the Intel Developer Forum, the senior vice president and general manager of the Digital Enterprise Group laid out the company’s strategy for multi-core product development and releases, and introduced an array of industry collaborations of interest to the conference audience, which included some 5000 developers. Gelsinger did not miss an opportunity to slam chief rival AMD during his demos of the next generation vPro security system and a comparison of power consumption and performance of the Xeon 5300 and AMD’s Opteron chip. Here is part one of his keynote.
