During the awards dinner, Intel Chairman Craig Barrett joked, after seeing the quality of work from the high school finalists in the the Intel Science Talent Search 2008, that he felt like burning his Ph.D. dissertation. But the depth of research practiced by the finalists is astonishing. The winner of the competition, Shivani Sud of Durham, N.C., says she will continue to develop her study of genomics and the prevention of recurring cancer. PodTech’s Jason Lopez prepared this podcast featuring all ten of the top finishers describing their projects.
