LOS ANGELES, September 27, 2006, (PodTech News) — DEMOfall 2006 is underway in San Diego this week. Billed as the premier launch venue for new products, technologies and companies, the invitation-only event includes a presentation by Solid State Networks. The Tempe, Ariz.-based company works on issues related to the distribution of high-demand, large digital products, from PC video games to high-resolution feature films and television programs. Solid State Networks says it’s solved a critical challenge in the delivery of rich, branded media content while ensuring that digital rights stay intact. Rick Buonincontri is the founder, president and CEO of the company. He spoke with PodTech’s Matt Kelly.

Reporter’s Notes: Solid State Networks uses the BitTorrent protocol, which has plans to launch its own movie download site sometime soon.
