Beijing as a backdrop was more than symbolic for IDF in 2007. Intel does more than manufacture in China. The company does some heavy research and it plans to do more around mobility and Tera-scale chips. Although Intel has held IDF for years in Beijing, this time it came with an unmistakable energy. The Olympics are next year and construction of the stadium and other athletic facilities were in high gear just blocks from the Beijing International Convention Center. But one need only hail a cab and venture to far parts of the city to see hundreds of cranes in the sky and witness the most dynamic economic growth in modern human history. Another clue to the enthusiasm: the people themselves who seem as though they are getting to ready to take the world stage as Olympic hosts next year and as participants in the world economy. In this video podcast, PodTech captures the hardly exhaustive sights and sounds of IDF and Beijing.
