Wireless Communication Itself is The Killer App
Las Vegas, NV, April 5, 2006 (PodTech News) – Compared to the rise of the Internet, the surge in cell phone adoption since the early 90s has been just as dramatic, perhaps even more. This is the first of three podcasts of a CTIA Wireless 2006 keynote speech by Nokia Chairman and CEO Jorma Ollila. He reminds that wireless communication has been instrumental in changing human interaction not only for industrialized nations but in distant corners of the world. “We at Nokia expect that 80 percent of the next billion subscribers will come from the emerging markets,” Ollila noted, “in countries like Russia, China, India and Brazil… Afghanistan like we heard earlier this morning.”
