The Interop Network Operations Center, the NOC (said like “knock”) as it’s known, is more than a bunch of geeks connecting all the gear they can get their hands on. It helps engineers understand how to solve real world problems. Ken Bocchino of F5 Networks says that Interop gives him a chance to work closely with other engineers in the industry even though they are competitors who may not cross paths often. F5 Networks was highly involved in providing equipment and services to the Interop NOC.
