Intel’s Senior Fellow Kevin Kahn talks about Buidling the Mobile Tomorrow. Kevin talks candidly about the Future of Mobility. Keys to succes are understanding people and the use of technology then applying those learnings to develop more useful technology. Examples of delivering future mobility include:

Improving Mobile Devices: energy efficient platforms, CMOS radios, Antenna research, low-power radios, and MIMO.

Improving Networks: Increased range, Increased bandwidth, Seamless access, Easy roaming, and more security.

Leading Standards: 802.16e, 802.11n, 802.21, and Wireless USB.

Intel has been working to solve network bottlenecks to ensure data integrity in network transfers. To that end, Intel and Kevin introduce today “Slicing By Eight” Algorithm (SB8). This gives up to 3x CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Codes) performance – thus freeing up CPU resources.

SB8 is available now starting today at Source Forge.
