MENLO PARK, August 21, 2006 (PodTech News) — Digg.com‘s Founder and Chief Architect, Kevin Rose, is having a good time. His “social news” website, Digg.com received about $3 million in funding last year from the Omidyar Network, Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen, Greylock Partners and others. Last week, Rose was profiled on the cover of Business Week, which put the site’s numbers at a million daily page views, and called it the 24th most visited web site in the U.S. PodTech’s Catherine Girardeau sat down with Kevin Rose at Farley’s café in San Francisco Friday for an interview, as part of PodTech News’ new series, Web 2.0 Voices.

REPORTER’S NOTES: This interview launches a new series on PodTech News, “Web 2.0 Voices.” Let us know who you think we should feature on the series: the companies and people you think are the most innovative voices, right now, in Web 2.0. Some links mentioned in this story: Kevin Rose’s podcast, Diggnation. Diggnation won the Best Technology Podcast in the 2006 Best Podcast Awards. On the cutting room floor, but not to be forgotten: Last FM, Kevin Rose’s current favorite new Web 2.0 company.
