LOS ANGELES, August 18, 2006(PodTech News) — On Thursday, August 17, 2006, iMesh subsidiary MusicLab LLC announced the launch of their new peer-to-peer application (P2P), BearShare 6.0. What does it mean for the company and how will it impact the industry? Online media measurement company BigChampagne.com CEO Eric Garland spoke with PodTech News about the announcement. PodTech’s Matt Kelly has more.

Reporter’s Notes: After my recorder stopped, Eric and I spoke for another half hour about what is keeping the big entertainment companies from changing their operating strategies and adopting this technology with open arms. I wish I had kept the recorder going, it was fascinating to get his take on it all.
