Interop goes to the Big Apple for its second U.S. IT event this year. PodTech’s Michael Johnson takes to the floor and talks with a few of the exhibitors: Netcordia, CA, Inc., and Network General.

Reporter’s Notes: I had an interesting moment at Interop; a few well dressed and apparently well educated conference attendees walked out of Juniper’s Scott Kriens keynote all asking each other what the heck SOA meant. I’ve come to understand it slowly, but it took me a few podcasts and web research to figure it out. In this podcast, Jim Messer of Network General describes an application that seems a good example of a type of SOA setup. Joe McKendrick writes about SOA and observes that it’s slowly dawning on others, even the greater gifted minds in Washington, D.C. Maybe there’s hope for the nation’s capitol after all.
