Recently-formed Silicon Valley venture capital firm Bridgescale Partners celebrated over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with a crowd that included PodTech Founder and CEO John Furrier. Here, he talks with partners Matthew Cowan and Rob Chaplinsky about their investment strategies, smart money-raising, and the current state of the bubble. While they did not disclose the size of the fund, the Bridgescale mantra focuses primarily on later stage investing and “bridging” tech businesses through to M&A or IPO. Recently, Bridgescale led Digital Chocolate‘s c-round. Other fun folks at the Quadrus-complex party included Jamis the pancake man, Facebook‘s Mark Zuckerberg, Yahoo’s David Goldberg and some Hot or Not.
