PodTech Announces New Podcast Brand and Series - PodSummit

PodTech announces today a new brand and InfoTalk Series called PodSummit. PodSummit is PodTech’s first third party podcast since the company announced the formation of its InfoTalkâ„¢ Network of media properties in March 2006. Under the PodSummitâ„¢ brand, venture capitalists Bud Colligan, a partner of Accel Partners, and Mike Boich, a partner of InterWest Partners, will host a weekly podcast series with leaders in technology, and entrepreneurship.

I love Bud’s attitude…he says “We’re doing this for fun..” This is what user generated content is all about. Having passion and excitement and doing something for fun makes for great content. I’m looking forward to the PodSummit Series.

Under the PodSummitâ„¢ brand, venture capitalists Bud Colligan, a partner of Accel Partners, and Mike Boich, a partner of InterWest Partners, will host a weekly podcast series with leaders in technology, and entrepreneurship. The first podcast is available at www.podtech.net and will be featured on PodTech.net, Yahoo Podcasts, and Apple iTunes.

“Mike and I are excited about creating a forum for sharing ideas, experiences, and passion for innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Bud Colligan, co-host of PodSummitâ„¢. “We hope PodSummitâ„¢ will evolve into a crucial platform for leaders and entrepreneurs to engage on important technological, social and community topics,” Colligan added.

The first guests on PodSummitâ„¢ are Ron Conway and Shelby Bonnie. Ron Conway is the well known ‘uber angel’ investor in Silicon Valley and is most recognized for his investments in Google, Ask Jeeves, and Brightmail. In the PodSummitâ„¢ podcast, Conway comments on what he seeks in a startup technology investment and about his best and worst investments. Shelby Bonnie is the CEO and Chairman of CNET Networks, a leading online media company. During the 30 minute interview, Bonnie delves into what is happening in the media business, what media models are working today, and the evolution of CNET Networks from start-up to the leader in interactive media.

More information is here in the press release… Look for some great content and guests from Bud and Mike.
