Dr. Yavatkar leads VMware’s initiative into hybrid cloud infrastructure and works to ensure that public and private clouds can integrate software defined infrastructure quickly and be managed automatically. In this interview, Dr. Yavatkar outlines VMware’s efforts to modernize storage, network, and compute provisioning using virtual machines. Additionally, Dr. Yavatkar describes his vision for a future self-healing, self-managing data center based on technologies like the Snap open telemetry framework.
