In this Intel Chip Chat audio podcast with Allyson Klein: Jeff Hilland, President at DMTF and Barry Kittner, Technology Initiatives Manager at Intel stop by to talk about the role that the DMTF (Distributed Management Task Force) plays in the development and validation of standards in the IT industry. Jeff specifically highlights Redfish as one of the standards that is becoming one of the main IT infrastructure manageability standard APIs at the element level. Barry talks about how working with the DMTF has allowed the Redfish project to grow at a sustainable rate and how new Redfish extensions for networking have recently been submitted and are currently being processed by the DMTF. Jeff invites anyone attending the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco to stop by the DMTF Redfish booth and catch any of the Redfish and Panel Sessions during the conference to learn more about the present and future of Redfish.
